A big adventure indeed.
Now that everything has started to gel into place (and by gel into place, I mean: land haphazardly in the boxes strewn about my apartment waiting for the moving truck this weekend), I wanted to share one of my biggest adventures to date: Graduation.
On May 11, 2017, we celebrated the closing of a chapter and the beginning of the next. We walked across our personal finish lines. Three years of learning how to push ourselves to our limits (and past it), how to see the world from a different angle, how to analyze and synthesize a visual picture that creates and enhances a story. How to stay up too late and get up too early. How to succeed. How to fail. And how to find success in the failures.
I've literally scaled mountains and come down the other side a more observant, more artistic, more present person. Already, transitioning from homework to work-work has shown me that I've grown a lot in the last three years. I know so much more now, and I know much more clearly how much I don't know.
A special thanks to the University of Tennessee, the Theatre Department, and the Clarence Brown Theatre. wouldn't be the same without you.
