Special Projects

I was selected as one of fifteen designers worldwide to present my work as an Emerging Lighting Designer at the World Stage Design Expo 2017. I exhibited my lighting design for A Lesson Before Dying at the Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville, TN.

In April 2017, I presented my graduate thesis project. This immersive art installation, entitled Through His Eyes: An Exploration in Sensory Sensitivity and Autism Spectrum Disorder through Light and Sound, allowed neuro-typical individuals the opportunity to experience a taste of what it is like to live with a sensory sensitivity disorder like those associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Approximately 30 viewers experienced the installation, and through the course of the day, we raised $80 for the East Tennessee Autism Society. A great thanks to all of the people who helped make this project possible including the Clarence Brown Theatre and the University of Tennessee Theatre Arts Department.

In June 2016, I got a call from a friend asking, "what do you think about chromatherapy yoga?". And I said, "I have never thought about chromatherapy yoga." And so my journey with LYT Events began.

LYT (Love. Yoga. Tribe.) was a therapeutic yoga event series focusing on combining the breathing and movement of yoga with light and sound to create a fully immersive healing experience. We opened our first event in November 2017 at Porta in Asbury Park, NJ.
